About Us

Founded by artist Jean Dahrieh, Art & Wine offers a unique and creative social experience open to everyone. Our painting classes are interactive and fun, and are held in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, perfect to unwind after a long day of work, or to live an unforgettable experience.

Our art and wine evenings can be done in groups or alone to meet new people in an international environment. The classes are taught by renowned artist Jean Dahrieh (you can see his works on the website!), who will guide you with an expert hand through the whole process offering you all the help you need.

The concept is simple:

2 and a half hours of laughter, combined with a glass or two of wine, that will make you leave with a big smile on your face. And not only that, you'll also take away a professional professional canvas perfect to hang on the wall of your home, or even to give as a gift to a special person!

We live glued to our cell phones and computers, and it is easy to forget about ourselves. At Art & Wine we are aware of the importance of disconnecting and allowing ourselves a moment of inspiration. With this in mind, our mission is to give you the key to the doors of your creativity. Whether you are a budding Picasso, or you just used to draw stick figures in the margins of books, we guarantee you will be amazed with the final result. Not just because of what you draw, but because of how good you will feel at the end of the class.

So, what are you waiting for? Take a look at the scheduled classes, select the date you want and reserve your place to become part of our happy Art & Wine family. It' s that simple! We look forward to welcoming you.

Jean's Biography

Jean Dahrieh, founder of Art & Wine,

He is a painter and sculptor who, with his works, beautifies homes and public places around the world. During his childhood in Lebanon, his homeland, he discovered that he wanted to be an artist at an early age. His source of inspiration: Leonardo.

But not the Leonardo you imagine!

"I was eleven years old when I saw the movie Titanic. One of my favorite scenes was when Leonardo DiCaprio's character Jack sketched Rose. I was in awe of the way he used art to capture the beauty and essence of his beloved."

And that very night, Jean made his first sketch: he drew the "artist" he had seen on screen; the source of his inspiration. His drawing of Leonardo DiCaprio turned out to be so impressive and realistic that his little brother took it to school the next day to show it to his friends. Unfortunately, he lost the drawing and it was never found again. But that seed had been planted, and from that day on he set out to pursue his passion.

Jean the artist

A golden opportunity opened the door for him to turn his passion into a way of life. After seeing his artwork, a singer asked him to paint live with him at a concert. It was a unique opportunity that gave Jean a platform for thousands of people to see his work. Thanks to that performance, he started getting offers for events where he could show his work, as well as invitations to TV shows with live painting and requests for portraits for various celebrities.

Beginnings of his career:

While Jean was attending college, his father decided to nurture his talent by sending him to take lessons from a local painter, Pierre Chedid. Jean was so enthusiastic about learning as much as he could, that he often spent days and nights in the studio, observing and helping as he gained experience. He then moved to another studio, where the teacher invited him to help paint the walls of various churches, villas and castles, giving him the chance to study new techniques and gain more experience. As he learned, his own paintings became increasingly sophisticated in style and technique, and he began to gain local recognition as an artist.

Barcelona & Art & Wine

Jean moved to Barcelona in 2010, where he continued his passion for painting. Since then, he has exhibited his work in important galleries and events in the city and has also completed commissions in more distant places, such as the mural painting on the wall of a bar in Geneva (click here to see the result). After five years living in Barcelona, he was finally able to work and live as a full-time artist.

In 2018, Jean decided to open a painting class. Not only does he aim to offer an experience of disconnecting and relaxing while learning a new skill, but he also seeks to share his passion. As he says, "I remember how I felt all those years ago, the first time I saw my drawing on paper; a sense of accomplishment when I saw what I had created. And I want to share that feeling with other people. Everyone has the ability to be creative. They just need the key to unlock their creativity. And I'm here to give it to them."
